Privacy statement

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Smart Timmerwerk respects your privacy. This statement explains which personal data we process when you use this website, why we do so and what rights you have.

Who are we?

Smart Timmerwerk (Chamber of Commerce no. 94501173, VAT ID NL005088004B88) is responsible for processing your personal data. You can email questions about privacy to info@smarttimmerwerk.nl or call 06 18 68 18 12.

Which data do we process?

When you fill in the contact form or the quote form, we receive:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • the postcode of the project location (for a quote request);
  • the information you provide about your project or question, such as a description, planning and budget indication;
  • photos, drawings or other files you upload;
  • your preferred way for us to contact you.

Please avoid uploading photos in which people can be recognised, and don't include details we don't need to handle your request.

What do we use your data for?

  • to answer your question and get in touch with you;
  • to assess your quote request, schedule an appointment and make a proposal;
  • to carry out and administer any resulting job.

We process this data because you ask us to and because it is necessary to prepare a quote or agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We don't use your data for newsletters or advertising and never sell it to others.

How long do we keep your data?

Requests that don't lead to a job are kept for at most 12 months and then deleted, including uploaded files. Data from jobs is kept for 7 years, because the law requires this for our records.

Who do we share your data with?

We only share your data with parties that help us run the website and forms:

  • Vercel — hosting of the website;
  • Resend — sending the emails created by the forms;
  • Google (Google Workspace) — the business mailbox where requests arrive and which we use to reply;

We have agreements with these parties about protecting your data. Some of them are based outside the European Economic Area; they provide appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Website statistics

To see how the website is used, we measure anonymous statistics such as visited pages and the number of requests sent. We use no cookies for this and store no data that can identify you personally. Read more in our cookie policy.

Security

The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS). Forms are checked on the server, and files are only accepted in safe formats and up to a limited size.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object, and have your data transferred. Send your request to info@smarttimmerwerk.nl. We will respond within one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
